Making a Difference! Chaga Member Marty Warner has seen as much as anyone the miracles that our Chaga Extract offers. She's suffered from numerous serious health concerns including needing a kidney transplant. Her amazing story was chronicled in our August 2009 issue.
"I
love the everyday stories that are shared with me and the difference in
people's lives. Once my items were added up the woman asked very inquisitively “You don’t have any discounts? I replied “Like what?” her reply was, "well you are not over 50 are you?" WOW, that just made my day! With
a huge smile on my face I replied very proudly “Yes, in fact I’m 57”.
The woman, realizing that I must have been telling the truth since I had a huge
smile on my face, said, "you sure don’t show it"! I replied, “I take
this wonderful natural supplement”. The woman asked, “what’s it
called and where do you get it?” “It’s called Chaga and here’s my
card”, I replied.

These radio shows led to the opportunity for Reva to participate in the Boomer Times & Senior Life Convention in Florida which was attended by thousands of people searching for answers to their health and aging concerns.
Helping Reva share Chaga with the attendees were Rich Gould, Tina Davis, Ron Gilinsky, and Daryl Adams.

|
Lynn Robins, also a very dedicated Chaga Member, pursued the opportunity
to share Chaga through involvement in Annie Appleseed's Third Annual
Evidence-Based Complimentary and Alternative Cancer Therapies – “CAM for
Cancer” Conference in West Palm Beach, Florida. |
|||||||
|
|
Lynn attended the conference with Rich Gould, which is organized for
people seeking information on natural and integrative approaches to
support those particularly battling breast cancer. Speakers were from many different backgrounds including MDs, NDs, RNs, PhDs, Acupuncturists/Doctors of Oriental Medicine, DCs, and the patient/advocate community. |
||||||
|
Attendees learned to understand the evidence behind CAM enabling more informed decision-making. Practitioners learned ways to help their patients make more informed and confident choices. Patients and their advocates networked with others who have used complementary or alternative modalities and have made healthy lifestyle choices that are of value before, during and after treatments, and into long-term survivorship. Information was offered on a variety of CAM protocols useful for all types and stages of cancer, including prevention. Lynn added, “we shared Chaga with all the attendees and there were terrific speakers, and one of the topics of conversation was the health benefits of medicinal mushrooms. Several of the doctors that spoke, specifically applauded the health enhancing benefits of the Chaga mushroom. Needless to say, we had many people stopping by our booth to learn more! We sold many bottles of Chaga that weekend and several people signed up immediately. Two women, who own a health clinic in Boca Raton, Florida couldn't wait to purchase the product and start sharing Chaga with their patients!" There are so many ways our Members can share our Product and Mission, and with every opportunity explored new doors open to make a difference through the amazing attributes of our Superior Chaga Extract. Reach out and share the gift of health! |

Changing Lives - One Person at a Time! Dear Chaga International, My name is Dee Dee
and I have suffered from Temporal Lobe Epilepsy/Seizures. I was on three
medications for my seizures when I went into the hospital for a six day
study in December of last year to see if I would become a candidate for
the Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) procedure. I did not become a candidate
for the procedure, but one of my prescriptions was increased. Over time
my body weight increased and my energy level decreased. I tired easily
and my focus and concentration was still off balance. |
|||||||
|
|
Two months ago, I
happen to be out in my driveway getting ready to head off on my day’s
journey when I ran into an Angel in passing, my neighbor Levy McKnight,
and we started talking and he introduced me to Chaga.
I was really captured by his story and testimony that I brought Chaga into my world and now I am bursting with energy and my focus and concentration have taken a remarkable turn. My skin is glowing
again and I can now get my exercise walks in and I feel good about
myself. |
||||||
|
During my visits to
the Psychiatrist I noticed the change in my mood swings. My self-esteem
was back on track and I was ready to tackle the world again. I
discontinued the monthly trips back and forth on my own. I did not wait
on my Neurologist to suggest it. Chaga has given me the motivation,
balance and drive to get back out and seek employment in the legal field.
Since taking Chaga my memory and mind has become sharp and I have signed
up with 5 job placement agencies over the past month. |

Healthy Living - Are We Eating Healthy? Many of us have battled illness or are trying to avoid becoming ill, and over time diet plays a very significant part in our health. It's tough to eat right these days with all the stresses and distractions in our lives. But because of all the stresses, eating right is as important as ever. One question to ask ourselves is - Are we eating for survival and to support our bodies, or are we eating for pleasure and convenience? Often many of us try seeking a much better diet but we see the recommended extremes. For example, a strict vegetarian diet may not fit the lifestyle or discipline for most of us. So what do we do? Having spent time in an international cancer clinic and working with some incredible medical doctors, Chaga Co-Founder Steve Gould was able to learn from them that the key to a "realistic" healthy lifestyle is – “Everything in moderation”. |
|||||||
|
This experience which has been supported by years of working with all types of nutritional experts and health practitioners, has made a tremendous amount of sense. Our bodies are designed to handle things in moderation – it’s the excesses that weaken us and throw our systems out of balance. Most of us are never going to have that perfect diet and we want satisfaction from the foods we eat. There are many basic things we can do to live a healthier lifestyle without dramatic change or without feeling like we are doing without. Here are some great tips to keep in mind for ourselves and our family: |
![]() |
||||||
|
Drink lots of pure water – this helps nourish and hydrate the body, and flush toxins away. Avoid processed foods and eat as many "live” foods as possible. Our bodies need live foods like raw fruits and vegetables. Don't use a microwave for cooking - only for heating. Microwaves destroy nutrients and many containers used for microwaving leach chemicals during the cooking process into our foods. Limit your consumption of diet products containing artificial sweeteners and chemicals. These ingredients many not be proven to be safe for human consumption, can cause your metabolism to become unbalanced, and may cause other health concerns. Easy on the sweets - Particularly soft drinks, juices, cereals and snacks laden with high fructose corn syrup. The increased consumption of these ingredients are responsible for serious health related problems not only in adults but particularly in children. Make these things a treat and not a staple. Rather than allowing kids to consume unhealthy drinks and foods every day, have them drink more quality fruit juices and water and then the sodas and artificially sweetened drinks become a treat which can be a great motivational tool for patents. The same can be done with snacks. We can combine these snacks with some fresh fruit or vegetables or use the snacks as a reward. We can use this too as a motivator for ourselves but use treats as a reward not a staple. Try it. You'll be surprised at how this can help shift your diet into one of healthy moderation. For years food manufacturers have moved in a direction with total disregard for questionable and even dangerous ingredients, and have prayed on children in particular. Our government has stood by to watch and now thanks to the Wellness Revolution, many manufactures are beginning to change their practices. Let’s hope the trend continues. Lastly, make sure that we integrate a daily regimen of Chaga with our families consistently giving support to our immune systems and body function. Chaga protects, detoxifies and fortifies.
Remember - We Are
What We Eat! |

|
What do you do when your biggest problem is you? Uh-oh – Perhaps we're on touchy ground here! But let's face it - we all get in our own way at times - probably much more often than we are willing to admit. It’s not easy to recognize that we hold ourselves back in so many areas of our lives because our egos, habits and own misperceptions get in the way. However, when we do recognize these areas and how we are holding ourselves back, then and only then, we can begin to grow as a person.
If we want to be critical, we can see people all around us who say and do
things that show they are completely unaware that they hold themselves
back through their behavior in their relationships, their careers, and
their physical and mental well-being. They just go through life getting
in their own way and can’t figure out why they never reach the goals they
dream of. |
|||||||
![]() |
However, I bet many of those people look at us in the same way. They see how we get in our own way and we go through life not reaching our full potential. There are even people we know who strive to better themselves through self-help books and seminars and personal development programs; yet they still never make the fundamental changes and find the improvements they are looking for. It's not because the programs failed or the books weren’t good - it's because they failed to make the changes that produce results. They learned but they remained the same. We have all heard the expression that doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. |
||||||
|
We all probably know people who go through life failing to take responsibility and consistently blame others for their lack of success, lack of happiness, or lack of progress in the areas they wish were better. They are in denial that it is their habits, their thought processes, and their behavior that keeps them where they are. This why personal growth commands real change, and change starts with taking responsibility and becoming aware. All personal growth starts with awareness, then we have to commit to change and make that change a new habit. It's the follow-through where many of us fail. The great personal development coach, Tony Robbins, teaches an important lesson that we all make decisions and act based on the pain or pleasure principle. We make choices and act out to either avoid pain or to gain pleasure. This is why most diets fail, for example. Eating gives us pleasure and not having those foods we love, causes us pain. We often look at change as painful even though we know it may be necessary; therefore we avoid change. We can't keep our motivation to change the things that long term we know will bring us pleasure because we are focused on the short term discomfort we associate with change. Or we focus on the short term pleasures (like addictions) verses the short term discomfort of doing without, even though we are aware of the long term pain. This is why many types of change that help us grow as a person need to be developed through habits. It takes practice and that is why serious commitment to change aspects of our behavior or thought processes needs to be practiced and developed into new habits. Try practicing a new habit for 21 days. You will be amazed at how the change becomes a part of you. This is why support systems like visualization are so important as they help us to reinforce the goal – the habit. Many of us have developed behavioral habits - we let these define who we are and can't seem to break them even if we are aware of them. We too easily accept that that is who we are when we have the total power to change. It's tapping into that power to change and the motivation needed to stay on course toward building a better life that is the key. Take a position as your own coach. If you were coaching yourself, what are the areas you can improve? No matter big or small, each change can make a difference. First, become aware of things we can change. Set the ego aside and through humility and enlightenment, become aware of the things we can change about ourselves that will help us improve our lives socially, financially, emotionally and spiritually. Think of a golfer’s swing – just the littlest change, practiced and made into habit – can make a world of difference. Live Abundantly, Steve Gould |
